Shane Minor

Shane Minor’s road to Nashville is as compelling as the songs he writes. A California native, working cowboy’s son and preacher’s grandson, Shane grew up singing in church, riding horses and competing in rodeo. Before pursuing music full time, he served as a Los Angeles police officer while continuing to perform in clubs throughout Southern California.

After producer Dann Huff discovered Shane’s music, he signed with Mercury Nashville and released his self-titled debut album in 1999. The project produced three nationally charting singles, including the Top 10 hit “Slave to the Habit,” and led to Shane joining Shania Twain on her arena and stadium tour.

Shane later found his greatest success as one of Nashville’s most respected songwriters. His credits include Diamond Rio’s “Beautiful Mess,” Steve Holy’s “Brand New Girlfriend,” Kenny Chesney’s “Live a Little,” Cole Swindell’s “Chillin’ It,” Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester,” Parmalee’s “Close Your Eyes” and Drake White’s “Makin’ Me Look Good Again.”
